Winter break is ending

I’ve taken the last month off and I have the itch to get back to work so that bodes well for good research. The last month has been good though. It started with a less than pleasant experience tried to ship my car to NY. Then I flew to NC to visit my dad and stepmom. That would have been great except that I got food poisoning and was in bed for a couple days and didn’t enjoy all the delicious holiday foods. Bleeeeeech. Got better by the end of the trip though and we all had a good time.

After NC I flew home to the island of long on Dec 23rd with a flight delay of a couple hours. My family, the comedic geniuses that they are, started driving to the wrong airport to get me too. They arrived much later than I did but we only bickered for a few minutes before laughing and we made it back to the house in one piece. I was also shocked that it was almost $50 to fill up my brother’s gas tank.

Christmas was just as usual and it was nice to see the extended family. My Christmas gift was fantastic this year (video cameras)and the whole gag gift giving was recorded this year. Sebastian got to visit for New Years and his birthday and it was a great visit. No pecan pie but lots of food and bad singing of course. After he left, I took a short trip to Massachusetts and say Ta and Ben. That was a great time as usual and we finally all ate at the Roadhouse in Belchertown together. I highly recommend it.
